We now have a tremendous "spike", if you will, in the number of residences coming to downtown St. Petersburg. At last count there were over 5000- five thousand- condos, townhomes, and residences slated for the coming years. Though some projects don't pass the litmus test, these round numbers are staggering.
Downtown St. Petersburg is re-emerging as an hip city where tourists, artists, and those "in the know" are coming to live. You may argue about the city's persona of old, however the vast sums of cash spent here are bound to have an impact. Bay Walk, a new shopping and movie complex, has helped to set the tone for a renaissance. Projects like The Signature are meeting lofty standards of excellence.
